Responsibilities as a Multimedia Developer / Web Designer included assembling a tremendous amount of company information and constructing marketing materials from this information. We made several CDROM based marketing materials and the company web site. A majority of the project was making 3D objects on 3D Studio Max and animating these objects into video. This video showed the operation of the products of this company.

Innovative Metal Fabrication designed and manufactured equipment such as workstations, robotics and conveyer lines to outfit the inside of computer factories. Clients include companies such as Compaq, Dell, and Apple Computers. Since the overall integration of the product line was very complex, it was a requirement that we supplied material that explained it all in a very clear manner. The method that was chosen was through an interactive presentation distributed via a CDROM. We were placed in charge of this undertaking and it became our primary function for three years. The procedure was to take raw CAD (computer aided drafting) files from engineering and import them into 3D Studio Max. From there we would add surfacing and animation and then produce a digital video. The digital video would then be integrated with sound, text and still images into Macromedia Director.

Features of this project:

  • Used Macromedia Director to produce CDROM-based marketing applications integrating video, sound and still pictures.
  • Assembling marketing information.
  • Construction and maintenance of the company web site.
  • Transformed engineering CAD drawings in to digital video using 3D Studio Max.
